Specialized Recalls More than 12,000 Bikes
MORGAN HILL, USA – After two incidents were reported, one involving a fall with facial injuries Specialized decided to recall some 2012 and 2013 model road bikes.

Specialized was confronted with breaking steerer tubes in the front fork, posing a fall hazard. The recall includes the 2012 and 2013 model road bicycles and framesets. These came in various colors named Tarmac SL4, Crux or Secteur. It also includes all models of the 2012 Tarmac SL4, 2013 Tarmac SL4, 2013 Crux and 2013 Secteur Disc.
The forks of these bike were made by Topkey in Taiwan while Merida Industry Co. Ltd., assembled the bicycles. Consumers have been asked to contact an authorized dealer for free inspection and, if needed, a free repair.
