To celebrate spring, CfSC is kicking off the cycling season with a social event for cyclists to get together and hear the latest on Ottawa cycling for 2012.
We will be serving coffee and cookies while watching a few Streetfilms.org cycling-related vingettes. Then Jessica Wells of Bike to Work Month will outline some of the expected highlights of their bike promotional events; and Dick Louch will present his plans for an even bigger Capital Velo Fest – including a fashion show!
We have also asked Zlatko Krstulich to present the City of Ottawa's bike infrastructure plans for this year, including the proposed cross-city bike route and cycling connections to downtown.
And we will brainstorm ideas on how to improve bike parking. This item is based on the ideas that cyclists put forward on Risa's Wall of Wishes at our AGM last November.
Who: Access is open and free to everyone, but we have limited seating for about 70 people, so do RSVP to advocacy@safecycling.ca
Where: Our new digs at Causeway Work Centre, 22 O'Meara, in the east end of Hintonburg (walking distance from the Bayview Transitway Station)
When: Saturday, March 24th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m.
